Tourism

Tourism is the people who going somewhere else that commonly to different place from an usuall place and then the place that their visited has been recognized by many people, government where it called place of interest. Tourism usually takes a different area and country. If the place took in same area, it called a domestic tourism and if the tourism took a different area/country and out of the domestic, so it called International tourism

The person who do the Tourism is tourist. Tourist is the temporary visitors that staying at least 24 hours in the country and the purpose of the trip can be classified to be several categories. They are For fun (recreation, holiday, health, study, religion and sport), business, family, mission, meeting.

Actually the tourism can affect to the country that it can increase the income of Economy. Because, It can create opportunities for employement in the service sector of the economy associated with tourism. Example the service sector who associated with tourism are : transportation services like airlines, cruise ship, taxicabs, and then the accommodation are hotels and resort

It helped too because it can develop the country being known by people which it has been unknown before

Advantages of tourism are :

Ø Introducing the natural beauty and culture of the country and area that we have visited. A Culturalpreservation (economic incentives to preserve food, fashion, festivals and physical history, but these tend to be superficial elements of a culture.)

Ø   Improve fraternity or national and international friendship

Ø   The infrastucture can be develop to be better. Improve the economy

Ø   Environmental protection (econ incentives to preserve nature, wildlife and urban cleanliness)

Ø   Development of health care services

Ø Creating a wide range of employment opportunities, as well as setting up various businesses that support tourism attraction for the better and interesting

Disadvantages (depending upon implementation some of these can turn into advantages)

Ø Cultural destruction, (modernization (world mono-culture), freezes culture as performers, loss: language, religion, rituals, material culture.)

Ø  Environmental destruction (game drives, resorts: golf, ski, beach, desert, world as play

Ø  Development of illegal and/or destructive economic activities (markets for drugs, endangered species, etc.)

Ø  Land controlled by the elite (people relocated, agriculture eliminated, prohibited from N.P.)

Ø  Negative lifestyle's (STD's, substance abuse, begging, hustling)
